In Language teaching and learning context, English Language for Law Enforcement Purposes may be considered as a great challenge. This challenge is mostly related to the specific context within which police officers are working and the needs emerging from this specific environment. Therefore, English for Policing Purposes requires its own teaching methods, learning materials, and language teachers, specifically intended for this setting. To this end, the current study attempted to evaluate a Communicative-based approach in language teaching and learning implemented in the context of policing in Iran via observation, journal writings, an openended questionnaire, and semi-structured interviews. The results of the study illustrated some unique characteristics or elements for cooperative language teaching (as a technique in Communicative approach) in the context of EPP that might be peculiar to the police language environment in Iran. As the study suggested, Communicative approach principles can be implemented in EPP context only if language teachers pay attention to these context-based elements.

Textbooks considered as one of the most important genres of academic writings would guarantee effective teaching and learning in EFL/ESL courses. Since textbooks are gaining more and more importance, the knowledge of their rhetorical organization that provides learners and teachers with efficient use of their content seems necessary. This article describes the rhetorical organization of the textbook genre based on Parodi’ s three-tiered framework consisting of macro-move, move, and steps, which provides a detailed description of a textbook as an extended and lengthy genre. This study aims to rhetorically investigate four ESP textbooks written for undergraduate university programs for accounting students that were developed and published by Payam-e Nour University (PNU), as one of the largest universities in Iran. In order to fulfill the goals, the article aims to investigate the changes made over time in terms of move analysis between two series, each includes introductory and advanced ESP textbooks, as well as explicate moves, steps, and their Communicative Purposes with their accompanying examples. The results aiming at enhancing learners’ and teachers’ perspective toward this genre provide a vivid picture of different rhetorical parts associated with various Communicative Purposes.

By reconstructing the ideas of Weber, Marx and Frankfurt school in front of the comprehensive instrumental rationality, he puts forward the ideas of Communicative rationality and lays down the rational and philosophical bases for politics.

This paper regarding to the roles and functions that Roman jacobson deems necessary for each of verbally Communicative elements, investigates eloquent silence and its functions in Shams lyrics as an absent meaningful element that remains a trace of it.The question of this research is the kind and function of those six types of silence in contrast to speech and its purpose is to find those techniques that Maulavi uses as silence to effect on receivers in order to express appoint by avoiding of saying that to have a successful relationship.Studies indicated that silence in maulavi's speech has different methods and functions and has a major role to activate audiences.

Supporting Communicative rights is a new legal idea in the field of communications. The article tries to introduce the decade-old idea of "Communicative rights." Therefore, the focus of the study is to discuss the concepts of the subject and present a documentary study on the field. Furthermore, it draws on a field study, carried out through Q methodology to determine to what extent such important issues as accessibility, ability and application of information, are considered by Iranians (experts and news writers).The findings show that Iranians' views regarding research on Communicative rights resemble the worldwide attitudes on the subject.
